Be under no illusion: should a terrible and morbid regime be instituted tomorrow, all kinds of shabbiness will step out from the shadows of moral uprightness: excited eyes will fix themselves on the aesthetics of destruction; and pallid minds will feel refreshed in brutal expression, revived and ardent after long oppression.

Excited eyes of analogues of german volkish nazi-enablers--in America? Britain? shabbiness=catholic priest pedophiles, whose exposure forces ugly but necessary bulwarks to tumble against the tsunami of this new regime?
Or is this regime, on the contrary, Clintonian/totalitarian/"liberalism" come to full uglified fruition? in which case the destruction is the fault of "conservatives"----who laboured too belatedly, or too impotently, to "save" the republic?
Do "I" really have irrational illusions/expectations? of the what the future such coming of [some] regime would look like---i.e., that people would errect a new "normalcy", a reaction formation that would reflect the weaknesses of the People, as in extreme regimes, e.g., Nazi, etc., rather than be disrupted by what a bourgeois fool would predict 'disruptions' to 'liberal democracy'--would cause?
Speak clearly, next time, Curmudgypants. I like you, otherwise.
