“Every philosophy which believes that the problem of existence is touched on, not to say solved, by a political event is a joke — and a pseudo-philosophy.”

Would somebody remind the neo-cons of this, please?
Nietzsche must have been of the opinion that philosophy was not necessarily related to politics. Other philosophers, such as Plato and Hegel, disagreed. Who was right? After all these centuries, do we know?
Which problem of existence?
I know.
Is it because the problem of existence pertains to all time and every place, whereas a political event refers to a specific time and place? If so, then Nietzsche's statement is trivially true but significantly expressed.
